Hunting
Have you ever been on a hunt and wondered if the wildlife around you were moving
or what other hunters near you are seeing? With the reach of the internet
enabled smart phone to the field, Hunt Radar offers a free tool for hunters to
share information and track wildlife on their hunts.
A Good Idea for an App
Hunt Radar is available for iPhone and Android. There is a
web mobile site available too. Hunt Radar allows the hunter to set their hunt
location, report wildlife during their hunt, see what other hunters are
reporting via a map, and communicate via Hunter Messages.
The mobile application is free. Hunt Radar was built by hunters and have tuned
the application for use in sparse cell connectivity out in the field and woods.
The application makes NO SOUND and will never spook any game.
What Hunt Radar is not
Hunt Radar is for Social Networking only. Some states prohibit the use of electronics in harvesting game, make sure you understand and abide by your state hunting laws and regulations.
The App
Hunt Radar is easy to use and screens are designed to be used in a natural
order. First register with Hunt Radar (all information is private and will not
be shared with any other company).
From the Main Menu, set your Hunt Location.
Set your Hunt Location by City/State, or Postal Code, or let you GPS do the work
for you.
As you see wildlife, simply report it so your fellow hunters can see activity
around them.
 View other Hunter Activity in
the Maps section. As Hunters report wildlife, pins will drop on the map. Click
on a pin to see where and what was seen.
If that
Hunter has enabled Messaging, ask him a question about his hunt, i.e. "How big
was that Buck?"
